I HAVE HEARD THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO BECOME ALL THE WAY NATURAL UNLESS YOU GO BALD!!!!

I TWO YEARS AGO SLACKED UP ON GETTING RELAXERS. I WOULD GET ONE EVERY SIX MONTHS. SO I WOULD GET TWO A YEAR. SO THIS YEAR (2009) I DID GOOD I ONLY GOT ONE. WHEN I MENTION TO MY SISTER WHICH IS IN COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL ABOUT ME BEING NATURAL SHE TOLD ME THAT THEIR IS NO WAY I CAN BE NATURAL BECAUSE I DID NOT SHAVE MY HEAD BALD I JUST CUT IT REAL LOW TO WHERE IT COULD NOT BE STYLED. BEFORE I WENT NATURAL I WAS USING DOCTOR MIRACLE RELAXERS. IT WAS A VERY GOOD RELAXER IT JUST MADE MY HAIR SHED MORE THAN USUALLY. NOW I MOSTLY KEEP MY HAIR IN SEW IN WEAVES OR MICRO BRAIDS OR KINKY TWIST BRAIDS. MY HAIR GROWS ABOUT ALMOST AN INCH A MONTH BUT I AM STARTING TO HAVE SO MUCH BREAKAGE. BECAUSE MY HAIR GROWS A INCH AND BREAK OFF ALMOST AN INCH SO I CAN NEVER REALLY SEE RESULTS. I HAVE MORE BREAKAGE I THINK IS BECAUSE I AM NOW NATURAL AND ITS HARDER FOR ME TO OIL MY SCALP BECAUSE MY HAIR IS SO THICK TO WHERE I CANT EVEN SEE MY SCALP. MY HAIR HAS GOTTEN VERY COARSE AND BRITTLE BUT I THINK I HAVE FOUND A PRODUCT THAT WILL KEEP MY HAIR MOISTURIZED. ITS A LINE CALLED HYDRATHERMA NATURALS I THINK I SPELLED THAT CORRECTLY. IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT FOR NATURAL AND NON NATURAL HAIR I RECOMMEND IT. I HAVE NOT STARTED USING HAIRFINITY BUT I ORDERED IT AND IT IS ON ITS WAY IN THE MAIL. I AM SO EXCITED I PLAN ON USING IT THE REST OF MY LIFE IF IT WORKS. I HAVE A STRONG FEELING THAT I WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED : ) SO I LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING THE VITAMINS. NOW IN MY HAIR I HAVE MICRO BRAIDS SO INSTEAD OF WASHING MY HAIR I USE AN HERBAL CLEANSER EVERY WEEK TO KEEP MY HAIR CLEAN AND I ALSO USE ISOPLUS NATURAL HAIR COLLECTION WHICH KINDA DRYS MY HAIR SO I USE AN OIL WITH IT

Congratulations on going Natural.. I am also natural about 5 month's now and I have also heard that the hydra.. is good for your hair however, I do not use that product. I basically use Black soap to wash my hair then I use my favorite conditioner which is Humectress. Then I do a leave in which is Infusium.. To moisture I use Castor Oil because I recently started using the Castor oil and I have already noticed a difference. My hair is stronger, softer, healthier. One of my Natural sisters adviced me to use it 2 times a week I use it on my scalp. I wash my hair 1 a week and I do the same exact treatment. Before I was using to many things and I was not sure what was working. I am putting myself through a challenge using the Castor Oil to see what will happen in a few month's. You do not have to go bald to be completely Natural, you only have to cut off the ends where your relaxer is and that is basically it.

I have never heard anything about going bald to be all the way natural. I stopped getting perms 5 years ago and my hair is healthier than ever. I grew all of the perm out and my hair is actually growing now when it would not grow during the years that I had a relaxer. I always use motions products because they leave my hair feeling moisturized and just a little hair serum before straightening it. I worked in a salon (not as a stylist) for a year and they all agreed that I should stop greasing my scalp. They told me that grease in the scalp can actually clog your pores and slow the growth of your hair. You may want to think about not perming and putting grease in your hair. Also make sure you use moisturizing hair products. They don't have to be greasy to give moisture to your hair. Check out this article, It tells step by step how I take care of my hair. http://envymyhair.ning.com/profiles/blogs/question-how-should-i-take
