hair lost

i recently took out my sew in weave that i had in my hair for 1 month. after i took it out i went to wash my hair and it start to get tangled and also it matted up like i had dreads in my hair. i had to end up cutting my hair out. i havn't had a relaxer in 2 months. what should i do to make my hair grow back fast and healthy. really need help please! should i just cut my hair in a short style. and if so can u send me some pictures of short styles.
