About Me:
When it comes to hair I believe in being as natural as possible. Keeping it basic is the key for me. I have experimented with relaxers, colors, and weaves and in the end I found that what the good Lord gave me was the best choice. I do straighten my hair in winter, but always go natural when it's hot. I am a strong advocate for black women to stop relaxing their hair. There are safer ways to straighten our hair that will not damage and stunt our growth.

How long is too long?

For the past few years of my life I have spent every waking moment trying to grow longer, stronger, shinier hair. Recently I realized that I have finally reached my goal of finding the right hair regimen to help my hair grow and my hair length is steadily increasing. My hair is longer than it's been since high school and I'm excited about my new length, but when do I stop? I told my husband yesterday that I want to grow my hair down past my bra like a Victoria's Secret model, but he seems to thi… Continue

A good flat iron reaches high heats evenly throughout the plates, has ultra smooth plates, and is made from quality ceramic that produces negative ions. What flat iron gets our vote? FHI.

Exercise & Your Hair

Exercise is important to good health and longevity.
