How fast does your hair normally grow? I have been growing my hair out for 5 years and I am just now seeing results. I stopped getting relaxers and now I also go natural in the summer time and give my hair a break from straightening. Took me 5 years to figure out that chemicals and heat were killing my hair. What are you doing?
My hair has been growing good since I have stopped wearing weave and using glue. I started my regimen in mid october and I relaxed at the end of November and I had an inch of new hair. Now its January and I have another half inch or an inch.Im seven weeks into my relaxer and Im going to 12 weeks so I cant wait to see the new length with the relaxer in mid feburary. My hair grows at a steady rate . It dosen't grow fast at all its just that I have been takeing care of it more and trying to find the right products that would help stimulate my growth.
Hi Tiffany, so what's your regimen that has been growing your hair ?
My first start no more weave, no sew ins and no glue. I have started washing my hair once a week with good conditioners. I use Tresemme, Herbal Essence, and SitriNillah. I use shampoo twice a month and I use Cream of Nature. I moisturize more which is everyday and I use Wave Nouveau to moisturize my hair and Herbal Essence Long term relationship on my ends. To seal my ends I use CoCasta Oil and I also use this product as a hot oil treatment once a month. I pre-poo on dry hair with a deep conditioner and let it sit for an hour and then wash it out. My deep conditioner is Lekair Cholesterol, Motions moisturizing penetratind deep conditioner, or my favorite sitrinillah. I do this every wash time. I do oil my scalp twice a week with a good oil and moisturize every day. It has been working for me. I wear ponytails and half wigs all the time. I am also trying to stretch my relaxers past 8 weeks. I also massage my scalp with Cocasta oil. Hair Vitamins are also important to me when trying to grow your hair. Check out my blog in the future and I will let people know what vitamins worked for me the most. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I have tryed a lot of different products and I know what works and what dosen't. But everyone hair is different what might work for me may not work for me. I can say my hair has never been pass my shoulders and Im very excited and happy. Im only been doing this regimen for 2 months and I can't wait to see the results in another 10 months.
