Social Network for Black Hair Care

Hello everyone, im in a big mess. You see about nov. i wanted a new look so i went to a stylist who put a color in my hair. the first time she did it it was like my hair was bleach blonde so she tried another color on top of that one but still the color was too light for my skin color. i went back and she attempted to do another color but still the color was to light and dark in some places. she finally put one more color in my hair and i loved it its in the photo above. But my hair slowly fell out. i couldnt understand this since i was seeing her every week. i had to get i cut on one side and all through the back. In january or close to feb i needed a relaxer badly but my stylist wasnt available for some reason so i decided id put my own relaxer in my hair......OMG my hair was falling out in my fingers i couldnt believe it i called my stylist and she assured me that in an hour she would call me and get me in but she never called and when i called her she ignored my calls. i quickly put a deep conditioning treatment in my hair and let it sit for awhile then rinsed and combed and dry the end result was devistating. now i have about an inch in a half of hair and i dont know what to do. im not used to short hair and personally i feel that my hair makes up alot of my look. someone please help me with a solution to growing my hair back as fast as i can i feel so ugly. also my hair tend to be very dry i have tried numerous high cost shampoos and conditioners but they seem to not have an effect on my hair. please help

I'v been through the same thing almost, And it sounds to me like your hair was over processed somewhere with the coloring process and made it worse with the relaxer....remember hair coloring is a chemical process that does weaken your hair thats why it is good to lay off doing anything else to it for about a month or so to allow you hair reconstruct it's self. Now that your hair has been through its shocking phase and the majority of the breakage is gone i suggest and this is only a suggestion that you get the rest of the damage cutoff and and grow your hair out natrual until you can get it back healthy again, braids can help as well. start your self off with some good hair vitamins and a good hair product that works well for your hair.....Hair finity are really good vitamins ive been using them for the past couple of months now and my hair is very healthy...for the hair product for you to use on your hair is soley on you everyones hair texture and type are different so some products my not work for you....I use Muzanii its expensive but it works for me...i also suggest you use a protien treatment on your hair about every two weeks, deep condition your hair about twice aweek and when i say deep condition im not saying wash your should not wash your no more then every 5 to 7 days because as people of the african desent our hair does not produce alot of natural oils and this my cause your hair to become very brittle and dry.

You poor baby! Your hair stylist needs to be shot! At best you need to consult with an attorney.
She knew what she did was wrong putting all of that coloring in your hair when it was in a weakened state. Even it if was strong, to put all that color in your hair was sure to weaken it.
Get your braided or twisted for a few months. But before you do so, make sure that you bring your hair back to a healthy state by improving the condition. To stop the breakage, you should condition your hair with a protein conditioner. You use your regular conditioner and add an egg to it. Then after applying the egg treatment, put a plastic bag on your head (No Heat) and rinse with almost cold water as hot or too warm water will cause you to have scrambled egg in your hair. See if you could get your hands on some virgin coconut oil (Most health food or beauty supply stores have it-It is not expensive). Apply this daily. In addition, you should get Profectiv Hair Growth and put on your hair daily. Take HairFinity Vitamins and sleep with a silk scarf on your air at night. After using the protein treatment, your breakage should stop. See how it goes. But the vitamins should restore your hair to its original length and continue to make it grow. Be sure also to eat a lot of green leafy veggies and stay away from "fast food".

I would advise you to get your hair trimmed and use Aphoghee 2 step protein treatment to strenghten your hair and the balancing moisturzer wrap your hair if you have to have curls roll it instead of putting heat on it ,and every other day moisture your scalp with carrot oil (Organic Root Stimulator).

Sister Girl, How's your hair doing now???

What did you do because I'm going throught the same thing and my hairdresser but a Super relaxer on my head, knowing that it was long thin and weak. NOW I have NO hair in the back of my head and I see bald spots.

It's been two months since I began taking hairfinity and I do see results of little hairs growing on my head. Once I get back to the states i will do a quick weave.

Do you have any advice? What did you do to grow your hair back?
